AGH University of Krakow is recognized as the top technical university in Poland and one of the country’s leading centers for AI research and innovation. It is establishing Poland’s first AI Factory as part of the country’s “Artificial Intelligence Development Policy 2025–2030” and hosts the only national Center of Excellence in AI, providing strategic leadership in digital transformation. With a portfolio of over 40 international projects and extensive experience in Visegrad cooperation, AGH strengthens the consortium with advanced research capacity and international outreach.

Eötvös Loránd University (ELTE) is the largest Hungarian institution for teacher education and home to the country’s most extensive academic research community. It plays a pioneering role in training future computer science teachers and is widely recognized for its outreach activities aimed at public schools and society at large, including innovative projects such as the Erasmus DRONE initiative. ELTE has built a strong project portfolio, successfully coordinating and participating in several Visegrad grants in cooperation with partners from Poland, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic. The university also maintains extensive partnerships with both public and private organizations at the national and international level. Participation in the V4AI project reflects ELTE’s mission to integrate cutting-edge technologies into education while extending its impact far beyond the academic community.

Tomas Bata University in Zlín (TBU) is among the first higher education institutions in the Czech Republic to embrace the use of AI in teaching and learning, achieving significant results and building valuable expertise in this fast-evolving field. TBU has a solid record of international collaboration, with more than 300 active partnership agreements, and actively participates in numerous programmes, including Erasmus+, CEEPUS, AKTION, SHARE, and the Norway Funds. The university’s successful involvement in projects such as SOCCER, with partners from five EU countries, demonstrates its ability to foster innovation and cooperation across borders. Through the V4AI project, TBU contributes both technical innovation and international networking, enhancing the regional capacity to use AI in higher education.

Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice (UPJS) is one of Slovakia’s leading academic institutions, well known for its interdisciplinary research and international cooperation. It possesses unique expertise in the legal aspects of artificial intelligence, focusing on the role of AI in law education and research, which represents an area of growing importance across Europe. The university has experience in AI-focused initiatives such as AI-BOOST, a project funded under Horizon Europe that advances innovation challenges in trustworthy and human-centric AI. UPJS maintains strong regional ties with industrial partners, ensuring a practical dimension to its research, while also being actively engaged in international networks like Erasmus+, Aurora Alliance, and HRS4R. Its participation in the V4AI project is closely aligned with its mission to go beyond traditional academic boundaries, reaching wider groups in society and contributing to responsible AI adoption across the Visegrad region.
